Understanding Homeopathy

What is Homeopathy?

In 1796, a German medical doctor named Samuel Hahnemann discovered the principles of homeopathy. The therapy is based on the theory of "like cures like." That is, if a substance causes a symptom, consuming a very small amount of the same substance may cure the illness by prompting the body's own healing mechanisms to relieve different ailments and return the body to a healthy condition.

What is Comprehensive Homeopathy? How is it different from classical homeopathy?

Comprehensive homeopathy describes Gula Pet's functional approach to combining remedies to temporarily relieve symptoms or symptom patterns. Our Gula formulas contain several different remedies at varying potencies, including those derived from plants, animals and minerals. This more comprehensive approach makes the remedies better suited for temporarily relieving co-aligning symptoms, thus making the remedy selection process easier.

Classical homeopathy primarily refers to the use of single remedies at one dosage, which requires more extensive homeopathic understanding to administer.

Why should I use homeopathy on animals?

There is a rich tradition of using homeopathic medicines in the treatment of animals that dates back over 200 years. Hahnemann, the founder of homeopathy said that "Homeopathic methods are for animals, in a word, exactly as safe and sure as they are for human beings."

Homeopathic methods are safe and gentle for animals and can be used as a complementary treatment to conventional treatment methods. Homeopathic medicines work by promoting your animal's natural ability to heal by temporarily relieving symptoms.

Safety & Formulation

Why are Gula Pet homeopathic remedies safe?

The use of homeopathic medicines is supported by over 200 years of clinical observation. They have established an exceptional safety record during that timeframe. In recent years, there has been an increasing number of scientific studies published on homeopathy in medical journals. Clinical research is evaluating the evidence of homeopathic medicine while laboratory research is studying the potential biological activity of highly diluted substances to better understand their potential mechanism of action.

Silver Products

What is colloidal silver?

Colloidal silver is a broad term for a solution that can contain various concentrations of ionic silver compounds, silver colloids, or silver compounds bound to proteins in water.

What does PPM mean?

It is common to measure silver concentration using parts per million (ppm), which means so many parts of silver per million parts of water.

What is the difference between Gula Pet nano-silver and colloidal silver?

Our silver technology is a colloidal silver, but our manufacturing process produces a silver nano particle which has a silver oxide coating, which allows us to use lower PPMs than traditional colloidal silver.

Where does your silver come from?

We look for the most pure and effective ingredients, we source medical grade, 99.99% pure silver. Before we begin the manufacturing process, we test our silver to ensure it is free of any heavy metals.

Is silver toxic to my pet?

Silver is a naturally occurring mineral which is already a part of an animal's diet. The silver in our products is at a very low concentration of just 10 ppm in our liquid silver to 32 ppm in our topical gel. Our nano technology uses less silver particles than other ionic or colloidal silver products which results in much less silver ingested. Our safety studies have shown the metallic nano-silver particles are all flushed out of the body within approximately 24 hours.

Warning: For pets under veterinarian care for compromised liver or kidney function, consult your veterinarian before starting any new health supplementation. Use caution when applying with glass dropper and do not insert glass dropper directly into pet's mouth.

Can my pet overdose on silver?

Our silver can be safely used without any significant risk of overdose. We recommend consulting your veterinarian before taking, and follow the recommended dosing provided.

If your pet is on immunosuppressants, you must consult your veterinarian before using.

How does silver affect my pet's gut health?

Our liquid silver solution's low concentration (10 ppm) has no adverse effects on beneficial gut bacteria when recommended dosing is followed.
