Before the brand, there was a name
Our founder wasn't allowed to have a pet growing up. Wanting one didn't change that, and neither did asking. So she did what children do when the world won't bend, she imagined her way around it.
With her sister, she built a small private world of imaginary animals. Companions that existed only in the rooms of their house and the corners of their conversations. They had names, personalities, routines. They were called Gulas. Neither sister can remember, even now, where the word came from. It was just the word. The way certain words are.
Decades later, after a career that brought her closer to pets and the people who love them, the name surfaced again. Not as a memory, but as the obvious answer to a question she'd been quietly carrying: what would a homeopathic wellness brand look like if it were built around the kind of love a child invents when nothing else is available?
And then she looked the name up.
Gula, it turned out, was the ancient Mesopotamian goddess of medicine and healing. One of the oldest in the recorded tradition. Her temples sat at the edges of cities. People came to her for restoration when nothing else had worked.
She was almost always depicted with a dog at her side.
A formula thirty years in the making
The formulas in our bottles weren't designed for a brand launch. They were refined over three decades by a homeopathic master formulator and used in veterinary practice for years before they ever became Gula. Gula is the door we opened so the rest of you could find them.

A word with quiet history

We didn't know any of this when the name found us. We learned it later, the way you learn the meaning of a coincidence only after it's already become something more than that.
