"We believe calm is their natural state, not something to be forced. Our formula works gently with your companion's own systems, helping them return to the peace that was always there."

The Gula Philosophy

Ingredients chosen with intention

Each ingredient in this formula is here for a specific reason, addressing a specific pattern, in a specific way. Nothing is decorative. Below is what's inside, and why.

Aconitum Napellus 30X

Aconitum Napellus 30X

Combat Restlessness

Traditionally used in homeopathy for sudden, intense fear, the kind triggered by thunder, fireworks, or unfamiliar visitors. Included here to help dogs settle quickly during acute stressors.

Adrenalinum 12X 30X

Adrenalinum 12X 30X

Decreases Stress

Used in two potencies for layered support of the body's stress response. Helps modulate the surge of stress hormones that drive the most disruptive anxiety behaviors, pacing, panting, the inability to settle.

Asarum Canadense 12X

Asarum Canadense 12X

Sensitivity to Noise

For dogs who flinch, hide, or pace at sudden sounds. Targets the heightened startle response that lingers long after the noise itself has passed.

Chamomilla 12X

Chamomilla 12X

Reduces Travel Stress

One of homeopathy's foundational calming ingredients, particularly for restless irritability. Helps dogs whose anxiety shows up as agitation rather than fear, the dog who can't be soothed and won't settle.

Passiflora Incarnata 6X

Passiflora Incarnata 6X

Eases Overexcitement

A gentle, plant-derived ingredient long associated with rest. Rounds out the formula by supporting a settled state, not sedation, just the ability to land after the day's stimulation.

Valeriana Officinalis 6X

Valeriana Officinalis 6X

Soothes Territorial Behavior

A traditional nervine used to support the relaxation of an overactive nervous system. Particularly relevant for dogs whose anxiety expresses as guarding, reactivity, or restlessness around perceived intrusions.

A moment of care, twice daily

01

Find the dose

3-5 drops for small pets, 5-10 for medium, 10-15 for large. When in doubt, start smaller.

02

Administer with ease

Directly into the mouth, mixed with food, or added to water. All methods work equally well.

03

Trust the process

Consistency is key. Most companions show positive changes within two to four weeks.

Working with the body, not over it

CALM doesn't sedate. It works alongside your dog's nervous system, not by overriding it, but by supporting the body's own ability to settle. The result is gradual rebalancing, not temporary suppression. Which is why consistency matters, and why the change tends to last.

No Sedation

Your dog stays themselves

No drowsiness, no flatness, no sense that your companion has been switched off. The personality you love stays intact.

No Dependency

No daily reliance to function

The formula supports your dog's own systems. Improvements come from within, not from being in a chemical state imposed from outside.

Safe Alongside

Plays well with other care

Designed to be safe alongside other medications and supplements. Always check with your vet, especially for chronic conditions.

What to expect

Every dog responds differently. Some sensitive dogs notice changes in a week. Most pet parents see meaningful shifts in two to four. A few stubborn cases need six to eight weeks of consistent use.

Days 7–14

The Foundation

Some sensitive dogs respond in this window. Most don't yet, and that's normal. What you may notice is subtle: a small shift in posture, a quieter response to a familiar trigger, a moment that used to escalate but didn't.

Weeks 2–4

The Turn

This is when most pet parents notice meaningful change. Calmer responses to triggers, easier movement, brighter energy, fewer of the moments that prompted you to try this in the first place.

Weeks 4–8

The Settle

For dogs who took longer to respond, this is the window. With consistent daily use, the formula has had time to work fully with your dog's system. The new state of balance becomes the baseline.

If you're not seeing change by day 30, that's exactly what our 30-day guarantee is for. We'd rather refund you than have the bottle sit in a cupboard.

Your companion's wellness ritual

Each formula addresses a different aspect of your pet's wellbeing. Together, they create complete care.

If it doesn't work, we'll refund you

Try Calm for 30 days. If you don't see your companion responding, we'll refund you in full. No return needed. No hoops to jump through. Just send us an email.

What you might be wondering

How is this different from CBD or prescription anxiety medication?

CBD and prescription meds act on the body to produce a temporary effect, calmer behavior while the compound is active, returning to baseline once it wears off. CALM works differently: rather than imposing a state, it supports your dog's own ability to find one. Slower to take hold, longer to fade, designed for daily use rather than as-needed.

Why pet parents often choose CALM over CBD: CBD's effect is real but pharmacological, it changes your dog's chemistry while it's in their system, then leaves. Many parents describe their dog as "off" or sedated. CALM doesn't sedate. Your dog's personality stays intact.

Why pet parents often choose CALM over prescription anxiety meds: Trazodone, fluoxetine, and other prescription options are powerful and have their place, particularly for severe cases. But they come with side effect profiles, withdrawal considerations, and require ongoing veterinary management. CALM is gentler, designed for the everyday version of anxiety rather than acute clinical cases.

When you should choose something else: If your dog has severe, debilitating anxiety, self-harm, prolonged panic, inability to function, please work with your vet on a clinical treatment plan. CALM is for the everyday anxieties: storms, separation, vet visits, fireworks. Not for clinical-grade cases.

Is it safe alongside my dog's other medications?

For most dogs, yes. The formula works at homeopathic dilutions, meaning the chance of pharmacological interaction is very low. That said, every dog is different. If your dog is on prescription medication for a chronic condition, check with your vet before starting. We have a retired homeopathic vet on our team who can speak to your vet directly if helpful.

Why most homeopathic formulas don't interact with conventional medication: Because of the dilution process, there's very little measurable substance present to interact pharmacologically. This is one of the rare areas where conventional and homeopathic veterinarians tend to agree: direct interactions are uncommon.

The exceptions worth flagging with your vet:

• Dogs on steroid medication, homeopathy is sometimes considered less effective during steroid courses, not because of safety but because steroids may suppress the response.
• Dogs on strong NSAIDs long-term, talk to your vet about timing and whether to space doses.
• Dogs in active chemotherapy, always coordinate with the oncology team first.
• Dogs on thyroid medication, generally fine, but worth confirming with your vet given the importance of consistent thyroid levels.

What we don't recommend: Stopping any prescribed medication to "try natural first." Gula is designed to work alongside conventional veterinary care, not as a replacement for it. If your vet has prescribed something, keep taking it unless your vet tells you otherwise.

Our offer: If your vet has questions about whether this is safe for your specific dog, email us. Our holistic vet advisor can call yours directly. No charge.

Will my dog actually take it? What does it taste like?

It's nearly tasteless and most dogs don't notice it at all. You can drop it directly into their mouth, mix it into wet or dry food, or add it to their water. All three work equally well.

For picky eaters: Mix into wet food first. The drops disappear into anything moist. If your dog is on dry kibble only, add a small spoonful of low-sodium broth or a wet topper to combine the drops with.

For dogs who hate having things put in their mouth: Skip direct dosing entirely. Adding the drops to their water bowl works just as well, they'll consume the dose throughout the day. Just refresh the water each morning.

For multi-pet households: If only one of your pets needs the formula, dose into food rather than the shared water bowl. The product is safe for any pet to ingest, but you want the dose going to the dog who needs it.

For dogs who fast or skip meals: Direct dosing is most reliable. A few drops on the inside of the cheek, gums, or under the tongue. They'll lick their lips a few times and that's it.

How do I dose this for my dog's size?

3–5 drops for small pets (under 25 lbs), 5–10 for medium (25–60 lbs), 10–15 for large (60+ lbs). Twice daily. When in doubt, start at the lower end and increase gradually if needed.

Why dosing isn't strictly weight-based in homeopathy: Unlike conventional medications where the active dose scales linearly with body mass, homeopathic remedies work at dilutions where dose-response curves behave differently. The size guidance above is a starting point, not a strict prescription. A small, sensitive dog may respond fully to 3 drops; a larger, less sensitive dog may need 15.

What "starting smaller" looks like in practice: Begin at the lower end of your dog's size range for the first week. If you're seeing the response you want, stay there. If not, gradually increase by 1–2 drops every few days until you find the level that works.

If you miss a dose: Just resume normal dosing at the next scheduled time. Don't double up. Consistency matters more than precision, missing one dose won't undo your progress.

Can you give too much? The dilution makes acute toxicity essentially impossible. The most common sign of over-dosing is what homeopaths call an "aggravation", a temporary worsening of the original symptoms, which resolves quickly when you stop or reduce the dose.

How long until I see results?

Most pet parents see meaningful change within 2–4 weeks of consistent daily use. Some sensitive dogs respond within a week. Some take 6–8 weeks. The variability is real and we won't pretend otherwise.

What "meaningful change" actually looks like: Rarely a dramatic transformation overnight. More often a series of small, accumulating shifts, a calmer response to a familiar trigger, a moment that used to escalate but didn't, an easier morning, a brighter walk. The change is usually obvious in retrospect but easy to miss in real time.

Why some dogs take longer: Older dogs and dogs with long-standing patterns generally need more time. The body has habits, and homeopathy works by gently shifting them rather than overriding them. A 2-year-old responding in 10 days isn't unusual. A 12-year-old taking 6 weeks isn't unusual either.

How to track it honestly: Write down 2–3 specific behaviors at the start (pacing during storms, hesitation jumping into the car, restless nights). Don't check them obsessively. Re-read your notes at week 2 and week 4. That's when patterns become visible, not in the day-to-day.

If you're at day 30 and still nothing: Email us. That's exactly what the guarantee is for.

Should I use this instead of taking my dog to the vet?

No. Gula is for ongoing wellness, not crisis care. If something is acutely wrong with your dog, see your vet. If your vet has prescribed a treatment, follow it. Gula is designed to work alongside veterinary care, not in place of it.

This is a real concern, and it deserves a real answer: One of the legitimate criticisms of natural pet products is that some pet parents use them to delay or avoid conventional veterinary care, with serious consequences. We agree this is a problem, and we don't want to be part of it.

When to use Gula:

• For ongoing wellness goals, calmer demeanor, easier movement, fresher breath, immune resilience
• Alongside conventional treatment your vet has prescribed
• For the everyday version of common issues, not the clinical version
• As part of a broader care plan that includes regular vet checkups

When to skip Gula and call your vet:

• Sudden, severe behavioral changes
• Acute pain, limping, or refusal to move
• Changes in appetite, drinking, or bathroom habits
• Visible injury, bleeding, or distress
• Anything that feels urgent

Gula is meant to make your dog's good days better. It's not built to replace the people trained to handle the bad ones.

What if it doesn't work for my dog?

Email us within 30 days and we'll refund you in full. No return needed. Keep the bottle, donate it, throw it out. We mean this. We'd rather you trusted us with the next thing than felt stuck with something that didn't help your dog.

What we mean by "no questions asked":

• No restocking fee
• No return shipping
• No requirement to mail anything back
• No interrogation about why it didn't work
• No "you have to try it longer" upsell
• No "try this other product first" runaround

What we'll actually do: Reply to your email within one business day. Refund to your original payment method within 3–5 business days. That's it.

Why we offer this so directly: A category like ours runs on trust. The fastest way to lose it is to make refund policies hostile. We'd rather absorb the cost of an occasional refund than have someone walk away thinking we didn't stand behind our product.

How do I store it, and how long does it last?

Store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and away from cell phones, microwaves, or other strong electromagnetic sources. Use within 12 months of opening. No refrigeration needed.

The electromagnetic guidance sounds strange, here's why it exists: Traditional homeopathic preparation involves a specific kind of physical agitation called succussion, and many homeopaths believe strong EMF exposure can affect remedy potency. Whether or not you accept that premise, the precaution costs nothing, store it in a kitchen cabinet rather than on top of your microwave, and you've followed the tradition.

Why no refrigeration: Cold doesn't help homeopathic remedies and can affect the dropper mechanism. A drawer or cabinet is fine.

Signs your bottle has expired: Cloudiness, discoloration, or a change in smell. If anything looks or smells off, don't use it. Email us and we'll send a replacement.

Is this the same product DesBio makes for veterinarians?

The formulation is identical, same formulator, same facility, same standards. Gula is the consumer expression of a formula that's been used in veterinary practice for years. The brand is new. The product is not.

The full story: DesBio has been manufacturing homeopathic formulations for 30+ years, primarily for veterinary practitioners across the United States. The same formulator who developed those practitioner formulas built Gula's, and Gula is manufactured in the same FDA-compliant facility, under the same standards.

Why we created a separate brand: The veterinary practitioner channel works differently than direct-to-consumer. Vets want institutional packaging, clinical naming conventions, and minimal branding. Pet parents want something different, a brand they can trust, a product they understand, a story that connects. Gula is that consumer expression of the same underlying product.

What this means for you: When you order Gula, you're not getting a marketing exercise built on top of someone else's manufacturing. You're getting a 30-year veterinary formulation, in a bottle designed for your home rather than a vet office, delivered to your door.

Real homes. Real dogs. Real words.
